I FEEL GOOD!!!!

Yes, awesome, greatness, sweet victory, gold medal podium.

Wednesday track practice - which I dread every week - is now in the books. It was a kick back week, so only 3 miles at pace. Scheduled pace is 8:45, my pace much slower.

9:19 for 3 miles. Me - happy.
Yes, slower than last week's 9:18 pace but more comfortable.
Not as achy as I write this.

I think that all spells out improvement.
Yippeee!!!!

Now bad news - at least to me. I have to go to Chicago for some important marathon coach training. Which means I have to hand my team over to someone else for their Saturday run (though I know Coach Darren will treat them like his own) and I have to do my long run on Sunday. Oh well, the price we coaches pay.

Hey, TNT Coach Ken - any insight into training or TNT certification?

Ciao, folks

Great workout! Good luck on the trip. I think it is so cool that you have a team to help train. That must be a constant source of motivation.

When I went through certification Jack Daniels was leading it and had a ton of insight to coaching. Depending on how your team is set up, you may already know and do a lot of the stuff they'll recommend. Don't be afraid to ask a question and just enjoy.

9:18 vs 9:19 = much slower.... yeah I see exactly what you mean LOL

Hope the training will go well, your team will only miss you more and be happy when you're back!

I envy you, I love Chicago...place of my first and favorite marathon. I am still trying to work out the logistics of running the Illinois Marathon (1/2 actually).
