Winds of Change

I sense them.
I hear them.
I feel them.
I herald them.
Yes, the winds of change are a blowing. Blowing my way. Blowing around me, thru me. Blowing out the old, blowing in the new.
There is a new TNT training session starting up in early December and I plan on being there. Letting the winds of change blow me into shape. So shall I, as the VGFatBoy is doing. (ooh, so Yoda like, talk his is).
I am thinking about the Country Music Marathon (Nashville - April) or the Mayor's Marathon (Alaska - June). Either would be nice. Both would be great. Just have to raise that money for the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society. Hint, hint to anyone who would like to donate. I post progress here once I start and have links for donating later.
Leaving for Chicago tonight and going to Shedd aquarium tomorrow and maybe Museum of Science and Industry, Sears Tower, Michigan Avenue. Who knows. I am just letting the wind blow me where it may.

House Lost

I was hoping that this was it, but after making an offer the buyer basically told me to take my offer and shove it up my ass. He didn't even counter offer. Maybe that is what I get for offering $65,000 less than the asking price. Oh well.
Maybe he'll lower it.

I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it

I did it.

I woke up this morning. Death did not overcome me. No coma, no burgeoning sleepy eyes.

I jogged ONE MILE!!!!

5240 feet - or a whole bunch of inches and even more millimeters.

Chariots of Fire, The Running Man, Forrest Gump movies all come to mind as stories of man overcoming impossible odds to accomplish unbelievable feats of human sacrifice for the good of all mankind.

I have arrived.

elite 8

Saint Joe is in the elite 8 again. They ahve been ranked number in theor class all year and have been proving it. In the first round they sounded defeated Rockford Christian Life 52 - 7. In the second round (Sweet 16), the Wildcats of Wilmington tried to stop the number 1 ranked Spartans.

After a rousing entry onto the field accompanied by Harleys, smoke and fireworks, the Wildcats were given a short filed to work with. SJ shanked the kickoff and left Wilmington at the 45. They quickly took advantage of it and marched in for 7. The was the last time Wilmington would see their end zone. SJ scored the next 26 points to move into the Elite 8 versus the Plano Reapers.

Reapers... come on, like in death or picking corn. :) But actually, Plano is a familar foe. SJ lost last year's championship to them 47 - 42. Hopefully, this time the score will be in favor of the Spartans. We will find out this coming Saturday.

I did not start

Had a race on Sunday, in Allerton Park, at 11:00 am. Or so thought I. 10:35am arrives my entourage and me. Race over. Apparently, it started at 9 am. The first race I have missed.

That was too to be my new beginning, my entry to a new sunrise, a new millenium, a new vision. Oh well, so much for new.

Been a busy week. Some stroking here and there and had my ears lowered drastically. She even trimmed my eyebrows, cut the hair out of my ears and massaged my head for 5 minutes. I was in heaven. Not quite but it felt really good. I can understand why women go to thrse salons to be pampered.
